Rios is a soft, strong, and washable hand dyed yarn and is Malabrigo’s star! The plies help resist pilling and washability which makes it a fantastic choice for frequently worn garments, housewares, children and baby clothes. And like all Malabrigo yarns, it is super soft and great for next-to-the-skin wear! Spun from their premium superwash merino, it comes in an array of colourways.

Composition: 100% kettle dyed superwash merino wool

Gauge: 18 to 22 sts per 10 cm

Malabrigo Rios is made with 100% Uruguayan Merino wool. Uruguay has one of the biggest wool supplies in the world and is of an extremely high quality, especially in regards to softness. Malabrigo wool is produced by Uruguayan farms that allow their free-range sheep through the hills and are herded by actual old-style shepherds. The controversial practice of mulesing does not exist in Uruguay.

 

Note: Please ensure that your order sufficient yarn to complete your project as each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. To ensure random colour distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
